Your chair doesn’t need replacing

Cracked leather, torn fabric, a broken base or a seat that has given up. Chairs and sofas come back from all of it, and I work at your home or office, so nothing has to be carried anywhere.

Photos of the damage are the quickest way to get a price.

Under the seat. The gas lift, the tilt mechanism and the casters carry all the weight, and they are the three parts that give out first. Each is a straight swap, done on site. Every part we replace

Careful work, done where the furniture already is

Chairs and sofas are the only thing I work on. Not desks, not cabinets. Only seating. That is narrow on purpose: covers, foam, frames and mechanisms are their own trade, and doing one thing for a long time is how the work gets quick and clean.

The frame, the foam and the mechanism matter as much as the cover. A chair that has been re-skinned but still sags hasn’t really been repaired, so I check what is under the leather before quoting a price for it.

  1. Send photos

Message me on WhatsApp from wherever the chair is. A close-up of the damage and one wide shot is usually enough.

  2. Get a price

I’ll tell you what needs doing, what material it takes and what it will cost, before anyone commits to anything.

  3. I come to you

Most jobs are finished on site at your home or office. Larger work goes to the workshop and comes back done.

Before and after

Tap either side of a photo to see it in full, or drag the handle. These are jobs as they came in and as they went back.

The recliner armchair after repair, reupholstered in black leather with refilled seat and back cushions.
Recliner armchair. Bonded leather perishes from the surface down. Once it flakes there is nothing left to glue to, so the whole piece was stripped and re-covered in black leather, with new foam in the seat and back.
The same office chair after repair, with a new hardwood seat base fitted and the tilt mechanism plate remounted on solid timber.
Seat base. The old board had torn away around the mechanism plate and the chair could no longer hold a bolt. A new hardwood base was cut and the mechanism remounted.
An executive chair freshly covered in black leather with diagonal stitched panels across the back and seat.
Executive chair. Leather that has dried out cracks first where the weight sits, on the seat pan and the top of the back. The panels are cut fresh and stitched back in.

Send a photo and I’ll tell you what it needs
